GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide friendly, efficient, and accurate checkout for customers who have already selected their items and have been provided service by customer service personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Be aware of customers as they enter the store and greet them promptly and courteously
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrate friendliness and cheerfulness to customers and co-workers
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist customers with loading and unloading
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Promptly and courteously answer the phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate person or department
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Be knowledgeable about product locations and product functions
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Promptly call for additional cashiers when there are more than (3) people in line to check out
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain check stand and till in an organized manner
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Count back change to customers with each transaction
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Correct mistakes as they occur
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure adequate stock of supplies, such as register tape, security tape, bags and invoices
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Fold plant-carrying flats when required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare clothing for displays
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure soda cooler is stocked and rotated and that the candy, ice cream, and magazines are stocked and organized
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Attend product, merchandising and cooperative meetings as requested
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Uphold all cooperative policies
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform other tasks and duties as required by supervising manager

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to write simple correspondence
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
