The K–5 Worship Leader oversees and leads worship during weekly chapel services, cultivating an environment where students and staff can authentically worship God. This role includes mentoring student worship teams, selecting Christ-centered songs appropriate for various age groups, and collaborating with school leadership to align chapel themes with the school’s spiritual formation goals.
Hours: 5 hours per week
Compensation: $16.90 per hour

Job Requirements
Worship Leadership
● Lead worship music for K–5 chapel services, creating age-appropriate and engaging worship experiences.
● Select and prepare worship songs that reflect biblical truth and the school’s spiritual themes.
● Model heartfelt worship and encourage student participation in singing, prayer, and reflection.
Team Development and Mentorship
● Recruit, train, and mentor student worship team members (singers, musicians, tech team).
● Schedule and lead regular rehearsals, helping students grow in musical skill and spiritual maturity.
● Foster a culture of humility, teamwork, and servant leadership within the student team.
Planning and Collaboration
● Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and the Spiritual Life Director to plan chapel themes, speakers, and
special events.
● Coordinate sound, media, and technical needs for chapel with the support staff.
● Support worship and music components for school-wide events (special programs, holidays, assemblies).
Spiritual Leadership
● Model a Christ-centered lifestyle that inspires students and staff.
● Encourage students to deepen their personal relationship with Jesus through worship.
● Participate in the overall spiritual life of the school community, including prayer and staff devotionals.
Minimum Qualifications
● Believes and adheres to the beliefs and vision of Bethel Church
● Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
● Demonstrated ability to lead worship vocally and/or instrumentally (guitar, piano, etc.).
● Experience leading worship for children or youth in a church or school setting.
● Strong communication and organizational skills.
● Ability to connect with and mentor students across grade levels.
● Alignment with the school’s statement of faith, mission, and values.
● This position does not qualify for sponsorship of work authorization or an employment visa, so candidates must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. to be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications
● BSSM Graduate
● Bachelor’s degree in Music, Worship Arts, Christian Ministry, or related field.
● 2+ years of experience leading worship in a church, ministry, or Christian school setting.
● Proficiency with sound systems and worship presentation software (e.g., ProPresenter).
● Experience mentoring student musicians or leading youth worship teams.
● Ability to incorporate creative elements such as scripture reading, testimonies, and student involvement.
