The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed critical access hospital in Alturas, CA to hire a Director of Nursing (DON) for their Skilled Nursing Facility, with an additional SNF location opening soon.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring the highest level of resident care, and fostering a positive, team-oriented culture. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing leader who is passionate about long-term care, team development, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll, and staff performance evaluations
  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and professionalism
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and policy development
  • Maintain strong communication with residents, families, and care teams
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies

What We’re Looking For

  • Active California RN license and current CPR certification
  • Director of Nursing certification preferred
  • Previous leadership experience in long-term care
  • Strong supervisory, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lead teams, drive performance, and foster collaboration
