About the Role:
Artec Custom Wood LLC is looking for a motivated and hardworking Carpenter Assistant to join our team in Hialeah, FL! This is a great opportunity to learn the craft of custom woodworking alongside skilled professionals in a hands-on environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist lead carpenters with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood materials
- Support the fabrication and installation of custom wood pieces and cabinetry
- Prepare and maintain job sites, tools, and equipment
- Load, unload, and transport materials and supplies as needed
- Sand, finish, and prep wood surfaces for final installation
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Take direction from senior carpenters and complete tasks efficiently
Requirements:
- Prior experience in carpentry, woodworking, or construction is a plus but not required
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor throughout the day
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to job sites preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team
