Job Title: MCC Supervisor

Department: MCC

Location: Corporate HQ Office- Miami 

Reports to: Sr. Manager of Maintenance Control / Assistant DOM 

 

Overview: 

The MCC Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight and coordination of aircraft maintenance activities during active operations, ensuring aircraft are maintained in accordance with Company policies, FAA regulations, CFRs, OEM maintenance programs, and safety standards.

 

Supporting real-time maintenance decision-making, aircraft status monitoring, and interdepartmental coordination. The MCC Supervisor assists in supervising MCC personnel, managing daily workflows, and escalating operational or compliance concerns as appropriate.

 The MCC Supervisor plays a critical hands-on role in maintaining continuous airworthiness, minimizing maintenance-related disruptions, and supporting safe, reliable operations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Oversight

  • Monitor aircraft status and coordinate maintenance activities during daily operations.
  • Assist in managing maintenance-related delays, cancellations, and recovery efforts.
  • Support accurate management of MEL, CDL, and NEF processes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch, Line Maintenance, Planning, Materials, and Quality to resolve maintenance issues affecting aircraft release.
  • Escalate safety, compliance, or operational concerns to the MCC Manager as required.

Maintenance Control Functions

  • Assist in ensuring overnight and daily maintenance checks are properly assigned and coordinated.
  • Monitor and maintain maintenance tracking systems (e.g., TRAX / FMIS) for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review completed maintenance documentation and support timely correction of discrepancies.
  • Support One-Time On-Call Maintenance events and ensure required documentation is completed.
  • Assist in monitoring Maintenance Reliability Reports generated by MCC personnel.

Supervision & Team Support

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to assigned MCC personnel.
  • Assist with shift coordination, workload distribution, and operational coverage.
  • Support training, onboarding, and recurrent training activities for MCC staff.
  • Reinforce company policies, procedures, and safety practices within the MCC team.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safe work practices.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Assist in departmental self-audits and corrective action tracking.
  • Support evaluations of maintenance control procedures and recommend improvements to the MCC Manager.
  • Participate in Reliability or operational review meetings as directed.
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) processes when procedural or operational changes are required.

Reporting & Communication

  • Assist in preparing daily maintenance summaries, shift turnover notes, and operational reports.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication across Technical Operations departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the MCC Manager or Director of Maintenance.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum 3–5 years of airline maintenance experience (Line Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance, or Maintenance Control)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of Maintenance Control experience
  • Prior lead, supervisory, or acting supervisory experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of airline maintenance operations
  • Working knowledge of Airbus A320 family aircraft preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and escalate issues appropriately
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred (or required, per company standard)

 

OFFICE HOURS AND SCHEDULE

 

This is a full-time, on-site position operating on a 4-on / 4-off, 12-hour rotating shift schedule, which may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is required to support irregular operations, AOG events, and maintenance escalations. Occasional travel may be required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
