About the Role:
Khan And Associates Inc is looking for a detail-oriented Structural Inspector to join our growing team in Miami, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of structures across one of the most dynamic construction markets in the country. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough structural inspections of buildings of all types and sizes in accordance with local and state codes
- Review and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and engineering plans
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed written reports
- Identify structural deficiencies, hazards, and code violations and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers throughout the inspection process
- Ensure compliance with building codes ASCE, ACI, AISC standards, and Florida Building Code requirements
- Perform follow-up inspections to verify that corrective measures have been properly implemented
Requirements:
- Proven experience in structural inspection, civil engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of structural systems including concrete, steel, masonry, and wood framing
- Familiarity with Florida Building Code and Miami-Dade County regulations preferred
- Relevant certifications such as ICC Structural Inspector
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client interaction
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites throughout the Miami area
