Talent Acquisition and HR Specialist


The role involves sourcing, attracting, and hiring exceptional educators and staff who share our commitment to academic excellence and Christian principles as well as other HR responsibilities.

Duties


  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates aligned with the school's mission and values

  • Collaborate with school leadership to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions that reflect the requirements and ethos of the institution

  • Utilize various recruitment channels (online job boards, social media, networking, etc.) to actively source and engage potential candidates

  • Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with Christian principles

  • Coordinate and facilitate recruitment events, including job fairs, information sessions, and networking opportunities within the Christian community

  • Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment metrics to track progress and optimize recruiting efforts

  • Ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process from initial contact through onboarding

  • Assists with processing of terminations

  • Utilizes HRIS system for employee records 

  • Assist the Human Resources Director with other related duties as assigned


Requirements 


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in recruiting, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting

  • Deep understanding and alignment with Christian values and principles

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences

  • Proficiency in utilizing recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and social media platforms for talent acquisition

  • Effective HR administration and people management skills

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously

  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines

  • Existing network within Christian communities or organizations preferred

  • Experience working in a Christian educational environment preferred

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

  • Ability to use repetitive movement of fingers and hands for keyboarding

  • Occasionally walk around the facility and lift up to 15 pounds
