The Advanced Drafter will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings, 3D models, and survey deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other drafting software. This role requires a strong technical background, proficiency in advanced drafting techniques, and the ability to work independently on complex projects. The Advanced Drafter will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and surveyors to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant drafting software.

Develop accurate survey maps, profiles, topographic models, and utility layouts for engineering and survey projects.

Assist with pole profiling, surface modeling, and 3D representations for utility projects.

Ensure all drawings comply with industry regulations, client specifications, and company standards.

Perform quality control (QC) reviews of drawings before submission.

Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field survey teams to integrate field data into final drawings.

Train and provide guidance to junior drafters on best practices and standards.

Stay up to date with new drafting technologies, tools, and techniques to improve workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

5+ years of drafting experience, preferably in surveying, civil engineering, or utility design.

Advanced proficiency in AUD CAD.

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Strong understanding of surveying principles, utility mapping, and construction drawings.

Ability to work with complex datasets, perform advanced edits, and manage large drawing files.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as a team on multiple projects.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and train junior drafters.
