Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Redmond, WA | Full-Time | Exempt

Salary: $100,000- $115,000/ Annually

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Job Summary

As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee, plan, and execute all accounting initiatives to make sure our company is compliant with all federal, state, and local financial laws. You will also work closely with upper management and other departments to help meet our fiscal and company growth goals.

Job Duties

  • Directs and manages all accounting activities up to and including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, financial statements, and management reporting
  • Prepares, manages, and keeps current a formal monthly closing process
  • Contributes to attainment of budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing budget variances, and recommending corrective plans and actions
  • Optimizes staff work performance by planning, monitoring and appraising work performance through coaching, counseling, and mentoring of team members
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, auditing, and enforcing internal controls
  • Works with upper management to recognized, monitor, and come up with dynamic solutions to resolve financial problems as they arise
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, auditing, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Coordinates external audit information flow with external auditors
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience: managing accounting processes and software, developing policies and procedures, managing audits, analyzing business results, developing budgets, and performing budget vs. actual analysis (quantitative, qualitative)
  • Supervisory / management experience preferred
  • Outstanding financial, analytical, and statistical technical skills
  • Experience with the restaurant industry preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with internal and external customers
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
