Overview
We are looking for a Principal Group Product Manager to drivetheCopilot Offline Evaluation Platform, which is a critical component of Microsoft’s broader Copilot Evaluation ecosystem, designed to rigorously assess the quality and reliability of Copilot experiences before they reach production. It enables teams to run-controlled evaluations using synthetic or curated datasets across non-production tenants, simulating real-world scenarios to validate feature performance, detect regressions, and establish quality baselines.

Responsibilities
  • Define the strategic roadmap for our platform initiatives, aligning them with the overall business and product goals.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize key platform features and enhancements

  • Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables, and ensure they are effectively communicated to the team members and stakeholders.

  • Drive the execution of multiple complex projects simultaneously, while ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.

  • Work closely with engineering, data science, and product teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment between platform capabilities and business needs.

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, addressing their concerns, providing regular updates, and managing expectations.

  • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge and understanding of the platform, algorithms, and infrastructure needed for the product.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years people management experience.
  • 6+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
  • 8+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
  • 8+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g.,. competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
  • Shipped large scale enterprise software products.
  • Demonstrated ability to directly manage a team of PMs and Lead PMs to achieve results, strategic thinking and grow careers. 
  • Ability to innovate at a platform level and drive integrated, end-to-end solutions through the shipping process. 
  • Great Cross Divisional Relationship building skills and ability to collaborate with partners, ability to pull together technology and expertise across M365, Windows and Azure, to drive clarity across teams, agree on dependencies and common goals, and establish long lasting, trusted relationship with partner teams. 
  • Great problem-solving skills and outstanding drive for results; ability to drive clarity, communicate goals to key stakeholders, and motivate them to execute on time and at a high quality. 
  • Self-starter, who proactively identifies problems, proposes solutions, and drives a team to address them.

Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $165,600 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
