Responsibilities

  • Handle QA coverage of multiple projects coming out of Facebook Reality Lab.
  • Execute manual and write automated tests, and identify actionable bugs quickly.
  • Plan/organize necessary test passes, staying on top of all important issues, triage bugs and drive issues to resolutions while keeping everyone aware of QA status.
  • Work with different teams (Engineering/PM/Operation) to collect necessary information to assure QA coverage, and provide feedback on quality issues.
  • Work with onsite and offshore team to set priorities and remove roadblocks to make sure sufficient coverage for the release.
  • Assess status of the release, and help make sure the release goes out on time with high quality level.
  • Create and support test dashboards/reports.
  • Drive testability and ensure quality of releases.
  • Responsible for design, creation, and integration testing of assigned components/modules and for qualifying the product usability in each new build and phase.
  • Design and write test Automation for web and mobile.
  • Using data tools, write complex SQL queries to query data for test strategy decisions.
  • Build test driven engineering culture that drives improvements in quality.
  • Implement process changes to scale testing efforts across multiple products.
  • Plan, develop, and execute test coverage for multiple platforms.
  • Identify, test, track and report KPI trends over the course of the projects.
  • Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests to discover recurrences.
  • Work with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues for resolution.
  • Own the process of creating metrics to measure and monitor product performance.
  • Partner with automation and infrastructure team to leverage automation to allow better reality and scalability.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality software and platform for FRL product lines.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Require Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation
  • Experience must include 2 years in the following
  • Test planning, test design and execution, performance and stress testing, and implementing and maintaining quality test automation
  • Debugging applications on Platform, PC, and mobile components
  • Building, shipping, and maintaining commercial software
  • Coding in Python, PHP, Java, C, or C++


$229,542/year to $258,500/year + bonus + equity + benefits
