POSITION SUMMARY

Provide storeroom, research and sourcing support for Chemelex’s Maintenance and Facilities Department in Redwood City.  Must be able to work in a fast paced changing work environment driving continuous improvement for our site and customers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Individual has to demonstrate the ability to receive and follow instructions setting up and adding parts data into the Maintenance Connect System.
  • Complete monthly ABC inventory count for Finance and perform research of discrepancies as needed to optimize accuracy, eliminate stockouts and obsolescence 
  • Work with TPM  and vendors researching, adding and reconciling inventory parts for the electric shop, upstream plant and maintenance storeroom into Maintenance Connect and SAP regularly
  • Have good problem solving skills to identify routine errors and review data integrity
  • Individual must demonstrate ability to be self-driven to learn, apply and increase job knowledge through a variety of channels; on their own, through interaction with team, through job tasks/ note taking and one on one training by the manager/supervisor and peers
  • Individual must be able to adapt and be flexible to manufacturing’s changing environment addressing needs in a prioritized order of importance
  • Establish a standard and routine that leads to efficiency and productivity while performing all job tasks
  • S/R support will have daily responsibilities of replenishing (POU) Point of Use Cabinets, TPM storeroom and help with maintenance and cleaning of tooling
  • Individuals ability to follow all policies and safety rules while on Chemelex site.
  • Hazardous Waste all aspects: handling satellite containers, monthly haz-waste pickups, issuing of solvents and inks
  • Replenishing PPE at entrance of buildings

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • 1-3 years production work experience preferred & inventory experience.
  • Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, MACPAC and the Internet.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are a must in this work environment
  • Receptive to learning lean tools and concepts

  • Lifting up to 50lbs

  • Full Use - Job requires full range of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials used in the production processes
  • Walking - Frequently as required by the process

Pay Transparency

Chemelex’s pay scale is based on the expected range of compensation for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range: $42,800 - $61,200 annually ($20.50-$29.40/hour)

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
