THE SALARY RANGE FOR THIS POSITION IS $22.00-$28.00 PER HOUR, PLUS ELIGIBILITY FOR BONUS PROGRAM!

Position Summary:

IEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at our 144-unit apartment community in Redwood City, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, take initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergency.
 

General Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ
• Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.
• Sweep the dumpster areas 
• Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas
• Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them
• Demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect
• Ad-hoc assignments as needed

 Requirements

• 2+ years of maintenance experience at an apartment community
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Janitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelines 
• Facilities maintenance experience
• Customer service oriented
• Availability to work Tuesday - Saturday 
• Available for after-hours emergencies, overtime, and Reginal support
• Bilingual is a plus
