Ā

Poshmark's inventory is vast, dynamic, and unlike anything in traditional retail. This role exists to make sense of it — reading demand signals across the platform, identifying where supply is constrained or oversaturated, and shaping how we surface the right product to the right buyer at the right moment.

You'll operate as a generalist across all categories — Women's, Men's, Kids, Luxury, Sneakers, Home, and beyond — developing a platform-wide view of what's selling, what's stalling, and what we're missing. You'll translate that intelligence into action: working with growth, product, and supply teams to drive demand where the inventory exists and identify supply gaps where demand is outpacing listing volume.

This is a commercially-minded role that sits at the intersection of data, intuition, and cross-functional influence. You'll manage a Specialist and be a key contributor to the broader Merchandising function as it scales.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Read and act on demand signals

Monitor sell-through rates, trend velocity, search behavior, and category liquidity across the platform. Identify what's gaining momentum early and what's losing it — and translate those signals into merchandising decisions and cross-functional recommendations.

Diagnose supply and demand imbalances

Break down inventory health by category, brand, and price point. Flag where supply is thin relative to buyer demand, and where we have depth that isn't converting. Work with the supply and growth teams to close those gaps — pulling demand levers where we have inventory, and influencing supply acquisition where we don't.

Shape how product gets surfaced

Partner with product and engineering to influence how merchandising signals inform feed ranking, search, PDPs, and editorial surfaces — not just a single carousel, but embedded across the app experience where it drives the most impact.

Drive the merchandising calendar

Own the demand and investment calendar across categories — planning seasonal pushes, trend moments, and promotional windows in coordination with growth marketing, paid media, and supply. Make sure the plan reflects both platform data and broader cultural and fashion signals.

Manage and develop the Merchandising Specialist

Set clear direction and priorities, delegate effectively, and develop the Specialist's capability over time. Act as the connective tissue between day-to-day execution and the strategic priorities of the VP of Merchandising.

Build the merchandising intelligence framework

Contribute to the ongoing development of Poshmark's demand intelligence infrastructure — helping define the metrics, reporting cadences, and inputs that make merchandising decisions faster and better over time.

- Can translate merchandising priorities into language that resonates with each team

- Builds trust and alignment without relying on authority
