What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
- Master’s degree in a social science field required, plus two (2) years of experience working in a behavioral health field.
License or Certification
- Rehab Therapist Lead/ Activity Coordinator must be licensed as an occupational therapist, music therapist, art therapist, dance therapist or recreation therapist.
NOTE: Must possess a valid California Driver's License and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver's eligibility policy.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
The Rehabilitation Therapist Lead is responsible for providing direct and indirect rehabilitation services to participants. These services are provided through individualized and/or group activities for participants.
Division/Program Overview:
- MHRC is a 16 bed, inpatient program that provides intensive support and rehabilitative services.
- The individuals served are 18-64 years old with mental health struggles that have necessitated placement in a state hospital or other intensive behavioral health facility.
- Comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services are provided by a multidisciplinary team.
- The team supports individuals in developing the skills to become self- sufficient and increase levels of independence and functioning
