Job Summary: The Bank Operations Specialist (Funds Monitoring) serves as a team member in the operations area supporting the funds monitoring division. This role processes NSF/OD items, resolves exception items and processes the movement of funds through the Federal Reserve Bank and correspondent accounts in a fast-paced environment according to bank policies and standard operating procedures. Team member is responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems. 

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Process non-sufficient funds (NSF) and return items and correct non-posts on FMS, DDA, savings, COD, and safety deposit box applications
  • Process incoming wire transfers, reviewing wire transfer requests for proper completion and authorization according to wire transfer procedures
  • Process ACH origination files, record ACH activity, process ACH File Origination Balancing sheet and ACH return items, reconcile same day ACH transactions
  • Review fraud alerts, control bank risk by identifying exceptions to policy or recognizing wires with red flags

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • 2 years of experience with at least satisfactory performance in office duties
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Secondary education in business, accounting, or excel specialist
  • 3 years of experience with at least satisfactory performance in business or accounting
  • Good understanding of all standard operating procedures relating to bank operations, retail, and wire transfers

Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Workplace Environment:

  • Requires face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees and departments, and in-person interaction.
  • Working at a computer and utilizing a telephone
  • Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs

Pay Range: $18.40 - $20.70 hourly

The salary range represents anticipated base pay for this role. The actual pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on factors including but not limited to work location, candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
