Reedsburg Area Medical Center is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our Environmental Services team as a Housekeeper II. This hands-on role includes a variety of responsibilities, from routine cleaning and floor care to special projects and security support, all while helping create a safe and welcoming experience for everyone who enters our facility.Â
This position fills in for Security when needed.
Schedule:
Hours:
6 AM-2:30 PM
Rotating weekends and Holidays
If filling in for Security: 8PM-6:30AM
What you'll do:
The Housekeeper II performs specialized housekeeping duties and projects to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility. This position also assists with general security responsibilities
Education and Training Required:Â
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
- Carpet and floor maintenance experience preferred.
- Previous security experience helpful.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Be dependable and comfortable working independently.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to organize tasks, establish priorities, and solve problems independently.
- Be comfortable operating cleaning and floor-care equipment.
- Have strong teamwork and customer service skills.
- Be able to understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Continuous walkingÂ
- Frequent standing while performing tasks
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Frequent pushing or pulling of up to 25 pounds
- Occasional climbing of stairs, ladders, and ramps
- Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, twisting, and balancing
- Occasional reaching overhead and in front of the body
- Ability to bend and shovel snow as needed
- Frequent use of equipment controls, levers, knobs, and switches
- Occasional handling of equipment such as flashlights and security wands
Potential Hazards:
OSHA Blood Borne/TB Classification Class II – Occupational exposure to blood and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIMs) is reasonably expected to occur in routine performance of duties.
Continuously exposed to needles/syringes/sharps, waste handling (general trash) and red infectious waste.
Frequently exposed to toxic/caustic chemical hazards & hazardous waste.
