NP/PA - Behavioral Health (40 Hours per week) #3391

RAMC Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team. This position is scheduled for four 10-hour days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday).

The NP/PA will work closely with the behavioral health team to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients across the lifespan.

A 30-hour-per-week Advanced Practice Provider schedule may also be considered

Position Summary: 

This Nurse Practitioner position will work with our experienced and cohesive behavioral health team to provide mental healthcare services to children and families with psychiatric disorders.  Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating patient care, which will provide comprehensive, safe, and efficient care of the patient and their support during this time. This individual offers available resources and educational opportunities to patients, support personnel, and community members

Education and Training Required: 

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited NP/PA program.
• BLS Certified.
• Meets health requirements.

Experience: 

• One year of behavioral health nursing experience; certification preferred.

Special knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Ability to work in a clinic environment with appropriate technological support.
• Must be able to deal with multiple priorities in a calm manner. 
• Required decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Recognizes legal responsibilities and functions as specified by Wisconsin State law.
• Any additional training for specific areas of focus hired for.
