POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor, troubleshoot, setup, changeover, and startup, and shutdown specific manufacturing equipment including automation.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
â–ªAccurately perform machine / mold set-up and shutdown duties for molding operations.
â–ªAssist with sample/validation runs on new and revised products.
â–ªDocument machine and automation settings to include; mold setup and program changes as defined by written instructions.
â–ªIdentify, troubleshoot and resolve machine or automation malfunctions, quality, and in-process issues.
â–ªMachine operation including controls, safety switches, restarts/start-ups, and shutdowns.
â–ªMonitor and record machine performance rates.
â–ªComplete required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks as assigned.
â–ªKeep a clean work area, machines / equipment and sustain 6S principles.
â–ªAdhere to and comply with all written GMP/Safety policies and procedures.
â–ªParticipate in PEAK initiatives as directed.
â–ªPerform routine safety checks on equipment.
â–ªMaintain a clean and safe work environment.
â–ªAttend required corporate training/meetings
â–ªPerform other duties as assigned.
â–ªAll job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies.

 

REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION LEVEL:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Complete and pass required medical screening.
•Obtain and maintain a valid forklift license.
•Preferred: Previous experience in the plastics manufacturing industry.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

â–ªAdvanced molding processing knowledge
â–ªAbility to read and comprehend engineering diagrams
â–ªAbility to work independently


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
â–ªAbility to stand, sit, or walk up to 90% of the shift.
â–ªLift up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
â–ªMust be able to frequently carry (up to 30 feet each time) up to 25 pounds.
â–ªHave full range of motion of the waist and neck.
â–ªMust be able to frequently bend (to the floor), twist, climb, kneel and have unrestricted use of upper extremities and perform over-head reaching.
â–ªPush/Pull up to 200 pounds.
