Job DetailsJob Location: Register, GA 30452Industrial Maintenance Technician We are seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the efficient operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment in our facility. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities: Assist in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical power transmission equipment including gearboxes, drives, conveyors, and rollers. Perform routine maintenance on machinery such as cleaning, lubrication, and component adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Support in basic troubleshooting of mechanical issues. Participate in the execution of preventive maintenance plans to enhance machinery reliability. Collaborate with production operators to identify equipment issues and provide technical assistance. Utilize hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks. Perform basic fabrication tasks such as welding (ARC, MIG, TIG), cutting, and grinding. Assist in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical blueprints for equipment installation and repair. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs using a computerized maintenance system. Conduct monthly inspections and tests on safety systems. Safely operate industrial equipment such as heavy machinery and aerial lifts under supervision. Comply with safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and adhere to company policies and procedures. QualificationsQualification: Relevant vocational training or up to 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance. Basic understanding of electrical controls and familiarity with PLCs is a plus. Fundamental knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Proficiency with basic tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks. Physical ability to perform job duties including bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting to 50 lbs. Willingness to work in varied conditions, both indoors and outdoors, with PPE. Ability to work in elevated areas and confined spaces. Commitment to a SAFETYFIRST culture.
