Position Overview
The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations on assigned production lines, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met. This role leads a team of machine operators, packers, and line technicians while maintaining compliance with GMP, sanitation, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production teams across converting and packaging lines.
- Monitor line performance, adjust staffing, and coordinate resources to meet production schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, GMP requirements, and hygiene standards specific to wet wipe manufacturing.
- Conduct line audits, quality checks, and documentation throughout the shift.
- Partner with Maintenance to address equipment issues and minimize downtime.
- Train, coach, and develop employees to improve skill levels and performance.
- Manage changeovers, startups, and shutdowns to ensure efficiency and product accuracy.
- Track and report production metrics including output, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization.
- Maintain accurate shift records, incident reports, and production logs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience; converting, packaging, or hygiene‑product production preferred.
- 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of high‑speed equipment, web handling, tension control, and packaging processes.
- Knowledge of GMP, sanitation standards, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with production reporting systems or basic computer applications.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or leadership training preferred.
