Respiratory Therapist (PRN) - Reidsville, GA

Optim Medical Center - Tattnall is seeking PRN Respiratory Therapist for Reidsville, GA location. 

Job Requirements: 

Primary Duties: Respiratory job duties:

- Maintain knowledge of the various oxygen delivery methods and assessment of patient for appropriate therapy needed.

- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, purpose and side effects associated with each

- Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, airway management, suctioning, and any other procedure related to ventilator therapy.

- Perform arterial punctures for ABG and technique for analysis along with understanding the complications and contraindications associated with the procedure.

- Performs EKGs, report to appropriate department, and recognize critical that may need immediate treatment.

- Demonstrate ability to assess patients of various ages and determine the appropriate therapy needed.

- Demonstrate knowledge of respiratory medications and oxygen concentrations as they relate to the treatment of varying age patients.

- Manage and operate all equipment necessary for proper patient care.

- Assess patients and be an active participant along with doctors and nurses in the appropriate care of the patients.

Regulatory Requirements:

• Current state Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
