Position Summary
Tattnall Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team! New-Grad Friendly!

The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall physical function.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities as directed.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with facility policies.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in physical therapy Assisting or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of human physiology.
  • Proficiency in providing patient care with a focus on rehabilitation techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
