Fosdick Fulfillment has an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator in our Nevada location Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Forklift Drivers move and deliver material in the warehouse to designated locations.


SUPERVISION RECEIVED

The Forklift Drivers works under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this position, including arriving at your work station on time at the start of your shift and after rest and meal periods.
  • Checks fork lift for safety precaution before operating.
  • Ability to accurately use RF gun.
  • Accurately removes or places merchandise from/in warehouse locations.
  • Duties may include receiving, put away, picking, replenishment, consolidating, loading and staging.
  • May perform order filler and checker duties.
  • Completes all records and reports as required.
  • Maintain inventory control and proper stock rotation.
  • May assist in physical inventories, bin sweeps or cycle counting
  • Restacks and re-wraps merchandise on pallet.
  • Pulls merchandise for production ensuring correct SKU#, description, amount on skid, available location, moved from, moved to, and quantity. 
  • Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the material handling equipment.
  • Complies with safety rules and regulations
  • Maintains cleans work area in accordance with company standards.
  • Assists, when necessary, with other warehouse and/or production related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with clean/safe driving record.
  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating and procedural written instructions.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide so that accurate logs may be maintained.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with leads, supervisors and coworkers.
  • The ability to pass the OSHA required training and testing for powered industrial trucks. 
  • The ability to safely operate a power industrial truck, as outlined in the OSHA requirements.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Computer Skills


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical and mental requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the principal or essential duties and responsibilities of this job.   • The ability to sit, stand, walk, and/or climb in and out of Powered Industrial Trucks for prolonged periods, 8 or more hours.
  • The ability to use a Radio Frequency (RF) scanner daily, 8 or more hours.
  • The ability to use hands to pick up objects and operate tools or controls and reach with hands.
  • The ability to bend or stoop at knees or waist; twist at waist to retrieve item.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Steel Toe safety shoes that cover the ankle must be worn at all times.
  • The ability to pass a physical given by the Company health provider on as needed basis


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is conducted in typical warehouse surroundings. Some moderately uncomfortable elements might be present such as heat, cold, dust. Work is fast paced and involves pressures of meeting delivery commitments and responding to changing priorities.
