Skilled Trades Recruiter

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Skilled Trades Recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, people-driven environment. This role requires understanding what it takes to recruit electricians, foremen, and construction leadership effectively in the real world. The ideal candidate is a full-cycle recruiter with experience in hiring skilled trades talent, partnering closely with hiring managers, and building trust with trade professionals. You will play a key role in developing recruiting processes, supporting onboarding, tracking recruiting metrics, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of our Reno office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from sourcing candidates to extending offers.
  • Partner with hiring managers and field leaders to align on hiring needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with skilled trades professionals.
  • Develop and refine recruiting processes, including the creation of SOPs and workflows.
  • Track recruiting metrics and report on performance improvements.
  • Coordinate onboarding to ensure new hire readiness.
  • Promote job roles through social media and job advertising campaigns.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience recruiting for skilled trades or similar positions.
  • Proficient in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and screening.
  • Strong communication skills for clear candidate and stakeholder interactions.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in the electrical construction industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Experience with office operations or facilities coordination.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
