Job DetailsJob Location: Rensselaer, IN 47978SUMMARY The Day Service Program Specialist position is responsible for assisting the Day Service Manager in maintaining consistency in program implementation, individual care, staff mentoring, and communication with staff. The primary duty of a Day Service Program Specialist also carries out the duties of a Direct Support Professional.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide direct care services with good attendance and punctuality. 2. Assist in mentoring staff, and a consistent pattern of conduct to foster trust and respect. 3. Serve as a role model to staff, and individuals served, of positive behaviors in the workplace, and by appreciation of their fundamental dignity and worth. 4. Monitor and review all documentation on site/at assigned location to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory guidelines. 5. Be knowledgeable of and assist in ensuring conformance to BDDS regulatory guidelines/ISO standards. 6. Schedule activities for individuals receiving services and maintains ongoing communication with the individual receiving services. Maintain ongoing communications with caregivers/guardians when directed by Program Supervisor, Program Coordinator, or Senior Program Manager. 7. Ensure resident’s medical needs are being met. Schedule and assist in travel to doctors’ appointments when directed by management. 8. Provides accurate written documentation for program activities as required by state, federal, and accreditation standards in a timely manner. 9. Assist in maintaining filing and maintenance of master files, home books, or other paperwork as requested by management, 10. Assist Day Service Manager with verifying program billable activities is accurate. 11. Complete billable activities according to individuals budgets to maximize utilization of hours assigned to the program. Qualifications
