This Game Editor position draws on your love of language, mastery of grammar, drive for consistency, and knowledge of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS. Our team of outstanding Editors collaborates to ensure that all text elements of D&D products and related materials meet our quality standards for grammar, punctuation, factual accuracy, clarity, audience, tone, consistency between art and text, and layout.

This role does require three days a week in our Renton, WA office. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform significant copy editing and proofreading on D&D products, packaging, and Unearthed Arcana playtests.
  • Support game designers, other editors, and other collaborators across multiple projects.
  • Create and maintain accurate supporting documentation.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience as a paid copy editor or proofreader—preferably for game content or other technical material.
  • 2+ years of experience playing D&D.
  • Experience with Chicago Manual of Style (or a comparable style guide).
  • Strong editing skills and attention to visual detail.
  • Flexible, adaptable mind with a constant appetite for knowledge.
  • Proven collaboration and communication skills, with the confidence and trust to work with others.
  • Comfort working in shared document systems and version-controlled environments.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with InDesign or InCopy.

The base salary range for this position is $74,851.00 to $112,276.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
