Job Description:

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter | Full Time | Renton / Seattle, WA | 2026–2027 School Year 

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time ASL Interpreter for the 2026–2027 school year in Seattle, Washington. This is an in-person position working with a great and supportive school district. If you're passionate about supporting students who are Deaf or hard of hearing and want to work with a values-driven, therapist-founded agency — we’d love to hear from you!

Job Highlights:

  • Location: Seattle, WA

  • Position: ASL Interpreter –  High School Assignment

  • Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday

  • School Year: 2026-2027

  • In-person only

Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 4.0 or higher and passing the written performance test

  • EIPA scores of 3.5–3.9 may also be considered

  • Fingerprinting required prior to start

  • School-based experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct 1:1 interpretation for a student throughout the school day

  • Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff

  • Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom

  • Collaborate with the student’s educational team
