We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a portfolio of software engineering projects, with a particular focus on cloud engineering, data engineering, and AI/ML.  As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, working closely with clients and internal teams to achieve project goals. You’ll be at the forefront of managing and overseeing complex software development projects that have meaningful impact for our clients.

  • Location: Primarily Remote. Candidates must be based in CA or DC Metro Area for proximity to project and client teams.
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Applicants must be US citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance or above.

Project Planning and Management

    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with project goals.
    • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery. 
    • Lead software development teams utilizing Agile and Scrum practices.
    • Define and implement Project Management Office (PMO) standards for programs. 
    • Manage project delivery and budgets against contractual requirements. 

Client Management 

      • Build and maintain strong relationships as the primary point of contact for executive and senior-level clients.
      • Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide transparent updates to clients and stakeholders.
      • Manage client expectations and address concerns or issues promptly.

Team Coordination

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.

Other

    • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, leveraging your experience developing and delivering complex software projects.
    • Effectively prioritize and balance various tasks and responsibilities to ensure timely and successful project completion.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on software engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, engineering principles, and cloud technologies.
  • Certified Scrum Master and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience delivering projects for US Federal Government clients
  • Prior experience as a software engineer or developer
  • Experience in functional analysis, user experience, and/or user interface design
  • Any of the below cloud certifications:
    • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
    • Google Cloud Digital Leader

Salary Range: $127,200 - $172,000
