Construction Special Inspector Qualifications:

Desire any of the following certifications with related experience: ACI, ICC, PCI, CWI, NETTCP, NYSDOT DTI, NYSDOT PCC, NYSDOT QC/QA and NICET
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Basic math and good communication skills
Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license
Positive attitude, with ability to work independently and in a team environment
Enjoying working outdoors in a hands-on environment

Construction Special Inspector Responsibilities:

Provide Special Inspection services in accordance with the Building Code of NYS
Perform quality sampling, testing and inspection of soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt materials on construction sites and in laboratory settings
Follow safety standards and procedures
Prepare accurate test and inspection reports using electronic report templates
Effectively communicate with clients and other project stakeholders
