Essential Responsibilities of an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Assists doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education. Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance. Assists in clinical procedures and treatments such as placing amalgam fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments.
