The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all maintenance activities related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, industrial equipment, carpentry, painting, and other facility systems. You will ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe working environment. The supervisor will develop the maintenance team, resolve operational challenges, support budgeting processes, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards. Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Facility Superintendent you will maintain compliance with all Safety and Environmental standards, including PPE, LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hazard Communication, and Hot Work requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop maintenance department staff.
Organize daily work schedules and activities for maintenance personnel.
Manage employee timecards, discipline, overtime postings, and vacation schedules according to company policies.
Oversee daily operations and productivity of the maintenance department.
Evaluate equipment, systems, and facilities to identify necessary repairs or maintenance.
Plan maintenance projects, schedules, and work assignments.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and operational standards.
Ensure all maintenance work is completed and within established timelines.
Lead root-cause analysis investigations for equipment failures and safety incidents.
Help develop the annual maintenance budget and estimate costs for repair projects.
Qualifications
Knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Experience planning and managing maintenance schedules for complex systems.
Supervisory, and team-development skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Experience with ControlLogix and Allen Bradley ladder logic.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of five years of maintenance experience required.
