Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 Hourly

Position Details:

Our team is looking for an experienced cook who is familiar with a wide range of cooking techniques, including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. This person is responsible for ensuring that every order is cooked properly according to our standard recipes and that it fully satisfies our guests' demands and requests. Our ideal candidate has outstanding time management skills as well as a team-first mindset to effectively assist other kitchen personnel and keep our operation running smoothly and efficiently. 

We are looking for a full time brunch cook. Wednesday through Sunday with current shift starting around 8am.  Some schedule flexibility is needed. This role would also help with catering and other prep needs mid week.  

We are also looking for additional kitchen help.  This could be a part time/on-call role to start and lead to a full time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently providing quality food preparation and service
  • Providing speed, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, prep and dish areas, and equipment
  • Understanding and proper use of recipes and kitchen equipment
  • Flexibility in executing varying events and seasonal menus
  • Maintaining Health Department cleanliness and safety standards
  • Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served
  • Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items
  • Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules
  • Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift
  • Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of cooking experience 
  • Fine-dining experience preferred
  • Clear and polite communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Ability to operate necessary kitchen equipment
  • Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
  • Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Must have or able to obtain CA Foodhandlers Card within 30 days of hire
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA
