Overview

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Senior Inventory Associate who will be responsible for the inventory operations, accuracy, reconciliations, and timely and orderly support of enclosure fabrication. Receive, store, and issue materials and other items from stock, warehouse, or storage area to fill shelves, racks, immediate production needs. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Manage the movement, storage, and processing of inventory.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive goods and certify the quality and count of all items.

  • Utilize the ERP systems (SAGE software) to manage material going into inventory as well as moving material from inventory to specific project numbers.

     

  • Perform monthly inventory cycle count audits and year end physical inventory to validate actual quantities in inventory vs the ERP system.

     

  • Notify Purchasing Department of discrepancies, over shipments, and substitutions.

     

  • Report safety hazards and quality and production issues.

     

  • Transport materials from shipping and receiving area to other locations withing the warehouse.

     

  • Prepare ship loose kits with accuracy.

     

  • Build pallets and skids per specifications for outbound shipments.

     

  • Handle sheet metal and sheet stock for outbound shipments.

     

  • Pull inventory to help maintain stock and identify shortages.

     

  • Label and deliver received items throughout the warehouse.

     

  • Delegate and direct tasks to Inventory Associate(s).

     

  • Regular and timely attendance.

     

  • Adhere to federal, state and local laws.

     

  • Perform work safely, maintain a clean and organized work area, comply with and follow company policies and procedures.

     

  • Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous, respectful and professional manner.

     

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Microsoft Office:

     

    • Proficient use with electronic mail

       

    • Intermediate use with Excel building and using spreadsheets (formulas like COUNT/SUM/AVERAGE/IF, functions such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting)

       

    • Intermediate with Word to create documents such as procedures.

  • Familiar and comfortable using Enterprise resource planning ERP software, SAGE experience a plus.

     

  • Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

     

  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, and rules of composition and grammar.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

     

  • 2 years’ experience in warehouse, receiving, inventory, or similar field

Physical Requirements:

  • Negative result on pre-employment and all active employment drug screens when required.

     

  • Able to work from heights, including ladders.

     

  • Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
