JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Content & Web Coordinator plays a central role in shaping how people experience Omega online. This part-time, hybrid role (approximately 25-28 hours per week) is responsible for writing and maintaining web and email content that reflects Omega’s voice while supporting key marketing and program goals.

Working at the intersection of editorial, marketing, and digital experience, this role combines strong writing skills with hands-on website management and a curiosity about what makes content perform and resonate. The Content & Web Coordinator reports to Omega’s Editorial Director. The role will support marketing email copywriting, program go-lives, original content creation, seasonal website updates, website change requests, and campaign execution ensuring that content across the website is clear, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities. In addition, the Content & Web Coordinator may also support generating course descriptions for Omega’s annual 100+ page print catalog.

This position brings a performance-aware lens to content, maintaining basic analytics and user behavior insight reports to support the team’s ability to identify opportunities for improvement. In collaboration with marketing, programming, design, and development teams, the Content & Web Coordinator will translate goals into effective, user-centered email and website content and continuously refine the online experience.

This is an ideal role for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys both writing and execution.

Essential Functions

  • Write, edit, and support production of marketing emails in collaboration with the Email Marketing Manager.

  • Maintain and update existing website content, including seasonal and program-related changes.

  • Produce original website content that reflects Omega’s mission and highlights faculty and programs.

  • Ensure all copy reflects Omega’s voice and tone guidelines and Style Guide.

  • Monitor basic performance metrics and use insights to improve content effectiveness.

  • Apply SEO and AEO best practices in content creation and updates, including keyword optimization and anchor-text creation.

  • Support development of course descriptions and related content for Omega’s annual print Catalog.

  • Other duties as required by the supervisor.


Supervisory Responsibility

 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Details

 

  • This is a hybrid position with a minimum of seven weekly hours in person from May to October. 

  • This is a part-time position. 

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Ability to frequently move items that weigh 20 pounds for various needs.

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Ability to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions.

  • Ability to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary.

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand, and ability to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Ability to observe details at close range.

 

Required Education & Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in content writing, digital marketing, and/or email marketing 

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt to an established brand voice

  • Experience writing for web and/or email with an understanding of audience engagement and conversion

  • Familiarity with content management systems (Drupal experience a plus, but not required)

  • Basic familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and an interest in using data to inform content decisions

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple updates and deadlines within a part-time schedule

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage workload independently in a 25-to-28-hour/week role

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders

  • Interest in digital content, user experience, and continuous improvement

 

Preferred Education & Experience

  • 2+ years of web content management

  • Experience working in a nonprofit, education, wellness, or mission-driven organization

  • Exposure to SEO/AEO best practices or content optimization

  • Familiarity with collaborative tools (e.g., project management platforms, Figma, or similar) 

  • Interest in growing into a content strategy or digital experience role

  • Familiarity with trends, thought leaders, and published content in holistic wellness and education
