Description

Hospitality Supervisors oversee the daily operation of the Rhinebeck Café, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational excellence, food safety, and team accountability. As the first level of leadership, they coach and support team members, coordinate daily operations, and partner with café leadership to deliver consistent execution aligned with Bread Alone's Purpose, Values, and Culture.


 

Wage:   $20.75 - $23.00 + tips (average +$10 hour)


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead safe, efficient, and high-quality daily café operations.
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality and maintain a best-in-class guest experience.
  • Coach, train, and mentor team members while holding them accountable to company standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready indoor and outdoor dining areas, actively monitoring workplace hazards, promoting a culture of physical safety, and ensuring immediate documentation and reporting of any workplace injuries or near-miss incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, physical safety, and employee conduct standards.
  • Delegate work, oversee side work, and maintain operational checklists.
  • Communicate service, quality, equipment, and staffing issues to leadership.
  • Execute ordering, monthly inventory, cash handling, and shift administration.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing training of new team members.
  • Operate all beverage programs and coffee equipment to company standards.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with leadership to improve performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements


  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, twist, reach, and move throughout the café.
  • Safely operate hot equipment and food service equipment.
  • Work in hot, cold, busy, and noisy environments.
  • Fast-paced café environment with frequent guest interaction.
  • Year-round operation requiring weekend and holiday availability.
  • Collaborative team environment focused on safety, accountability, and hospitality.

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality, food service, or retail.
  • Strong guest service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • 2 years of Coffee or café leadership experience.
  • Inventory, ordering, and cash handling experience.
  • Experience training and developing teams.
