Ensure mixing ingredients are accurate according to the most updated formula following the GMP’s and Food Safety procedures. The employee must be responsible and knowledgeable with machinery, must know how to operate and clean the machinery.

DUTIES 

  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
  • Avoid using raw material that may be damaged or defective be it, color, appearance, expiration date, etc. 
  • Verify that the product in process is within product specification, color, apprearance, diameter and weight.
  • Start up machinery as well as shutting it down. 
  • Verify machinery temperature (within product speficication.
  • Clean the machinery on a daily basis.
  • Document all the pertinent information on the mixing logs.
  • Inform the Lead and Supervisor of any discrepancies in product or problems with machinery 
  • Comply with the quality assurance regulations, SQF, and food safety. 
  • Follow all safety procedures in a proper manner.
  • Dress appropriately and wear all required personal protective equipment assigned (PPE). 
  • Use lockout/tag out devices and procedures as required. 
  • Waste water management.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on department and business needs.

  • The candidate must be able to effectively work unsupervised, displaying a high level of initiative.

  • The successful candidate must be able to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules and regulations (including all safety training and safety information) associated with this position which is written in English. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to appropriately respond to these and, where needed, provide reports, presentations, information or communications in English. 
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
