Tag Maker- 3rd Shift 8:00pm-4:30am

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:   You’ll be responsible for creating and managing product tags that ensure accurate labeling, traceability, and regulatory compliance.

 Key Responsibilities

• Create and print product tags and labels for tortillas, baked goods, and packaging materials
  • Ensure all tags include correct product name, lot number, expiration date, barcode, and regulatory information
  • Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams to verify tag accuracy and timing
  • Maintain and operate tag printing equipment, including troubleshooting minor issues
  • Organize and distribute tags to packaging stations in alignment with production schedules
  • Monitor inventory of tag supplies and request replenishments proactively
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with FDA, USDA, and other food labeling regulations
  • Keep detailed records of tag batches for traceability and audits
  • Support continuous improvement in initiatives in labeling efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in food manufacturing or packaging preferred
• Familiarity with labeling software and basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic understanding of food safety and traceability standards a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong asset

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs
• Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy

Skills and abilities

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Netsuite).

• Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Able to adhere to tight deadlines.
