Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Record patients' medical information and vital signs. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention. Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments. Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN is preferred. At least 6 months of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg environment is preferred. Current New Mexico RN License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
