Position Overview
The Recruitment Supervisor will lead the hiring team's recruitment for production and non-production roles at Quaker Window Products. The position manages the applicant tracking system. The position also partners with department leaders to identify staffing needs, secure position approvals, and coordinate hiring activities, including candidate selection. The Recruitment Supervisor builds relationships with talent sourcing channels, and monitors recruitment metrics. The position also ensures compliance with labor laws and employment regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the hiring team and oversee recruitment for production and non-production positions
- Manage the applicant tracking system by maintaining data integrity
- Develop, review and modify recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates that align with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with department managers, functional heads and the leadership team to understand hiring needs, confirm placements, and schedule new hires for New Employee Orientation
- Gather job descriptions and verify approval to fill positions has been granted
- Draft job announcements and content for job portals or social media posts
- Participate in candidate selection, make recommendations for hiring decisions
- Mentor the Recruiting Specialist on how to effectively conduct interviews and assessments,
- Ensure smooth onboarding, verify the candidate has a positive experience by coordinating with the HR team members that onboard new hires
- Establish partnerships and networks with local schools, universities, headhunters, and manpower agencies to enhance talent sourcing
- Gather, review and analyze applicant and hiring metrics; review termination reports; understand the trends
- Monitor and evaluate the recruitment processes for both full-time and part-time labor
- Maintain compliance with labor laws and employment regulations
- Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location.
- Interact and communicate with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
- Availability on site to confer with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis.
- Communicate via email, prepare reports and work schedules.
- Plan, prioritize and monitor recruitment activities.
- Oversee the completion of assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
Supervisory Responsibility
The leadership and management responsibilities of this position include assigning and checking work of others. The position will also monitor staff performance and employee retention. The individual will train employees, provide performance feedback and complete any correction or discipline necessary. The supervisor is involved in hiring, salary adjustments, employee grievances and terminations for their team. Additionally, the supervisor will assist in determining means, methods and materials for performing work.
Safety
Observe safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to eye and foot protection. Steal or composite toed footwear may be required. Employees must follow aisle safety and report potentially unsafe conditions during visits to the production floor.
Travel
Approximately 15% travel is required to commute between the local Quaker campuses to meet with staff or to attend career fairs, expos and recruiting events.
Qualifications
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Professional certification from Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP) validating foundational knowledge and practical skills is preferred
- Basic Knowledge of state and federal law governing Human Resources
- Proficient in an applicant tracking system and other related platforms
- Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources policies, practices, and procedures, including legal recruiting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to interact with candidates and managers at all levels
Education and Experience
An individual is expected to have the minimum level of education and/or related expertise listed here:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum 4 Years Experience in Human Resources
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience in manufacturing preferred

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

This is primarily an office job and largely a sedentary role with frequent sitting. The position requires the ability to climb stairs, lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary. Vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
It is an essential job function and safety rule, applicable to every employee working in a safety sensitive classified position, to be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Work Environment Although the employee will primarily be in an office setting, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to visit the factory and be exposed to climactic variations, various levels of vibration, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office is usually low, but hearing protection may be advisable or required for prolonged visits to certain parts of the factory.
