The Banking Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing requests to open, close and update bank account information. This is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America. Candidates for this position must meet Associa’s credit requirements. 

 

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide comprehensive bank related customer service to US Branch offices 
  • Facilitate client needs with partner banks (Opening/Closing/Maintaining HOA bank accounts) 
  • Work with departments across shared services center to ensure operational efficiency for various accounting functions 
  • Monitor, log, and retrieve HOA bank statements 
  • Transaction research 
  • Manage Bank Information in Complete Control for Communities (C3). 
  • Update signature cards as requested. 
  • Generate banking reports within Complete Control for Communities (C3). 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel 
  • Experience in customer service 
  • Basic understanding of accounting functions 
  • Problem solving and time management skills 
  • Complete Control for Communities (C3) software preferred but not required
  • Experience operating within web-based ticketing service preferred but not required 
  • Understanding of our experience in the Community Association Management Industry preferred but not required 
  • Experience working in an Accounting Shared Services Center environment preferred but not required 

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or GED Required 
  • 1 – 3 years of banking experience preferred
