Summary

Assists and supports the Quality Engineers by providing production expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation.    

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assists and supports in-process and product first layer assessment.
  • Performs the activities identified related to the Key process and product characteristics.
  • Supports the identification and processing of internal non-conforming materials for proper disposition.
  • Ensures that the implemented changes and corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues are respected in the manufacturing line.
  • Assists and supports Support First Article Assessment activities.
  • Supports internal, industry and customer audits as required.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality
  • Processes.
  • Supports the RMA quality related activities.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to exercise good judgment in providing quality guidance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
  • Understanding of quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and the ability to perform tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Knowledge of shop floor control and quality management documentation systems such as Spectrum Pro, EtQ.
  • Skills for evaluating, diagnosing and solving problems encountered in the manufacturing.
  • Well organized.
