Job Title: Advanced Manufacturing/Process Engineer, Assembly & Test

Qorvo is seeking a motivated Manufacturing/Process Engineer to join our Spatium® Solid State Power Amplifier team in Richardson, Texas. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to solve complex manufacturing challenges, lead improvement projects, and develop expertise in advanced semiconductor assembly and test while working alongside experienced engineers, technicians, and operators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments to improve quality, yield, and process capability.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify root causes and drive improvements.
  • Partner with engineering, production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
  • Support daily operations while implementing process improvements.
  • Lead projects focused on yield, cycle time, cost, and capacity improvements.
  • Evaluate new equipment, tooling, and process changes.
  • Work hands-on with operators and technicians to solve manufacturing challenges.
  • Take ownership of assigned processes and drive measurable results.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field
•    A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
•    Solid understanding of SPC, DOE, and FDC
•    Basic understanding of RF principles
•    Proficiency with data analysis tools (Spotfire, JMP)
•    Experience developing and executing qualification plans
•    Strong structured problem solving skills
•    Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows-based applications
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Cumulative GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
•    Experience in box build assembly and Radio Frequency (RF) testing
•    Familiarity with new product introduction (NPI), fixture design, and test documentation
•    Exposure to CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
•    Programming or scripting experience (e.g., SQL queries)
•    Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles

This position requires a Security Clearance. Applicant must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.
