Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support accounting operations in a manufacturing environment.

This role will focus on financial reporting, cost accounting, and inventory management, while working closely with the Finance Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to management
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP

Cost Accounting & Inventory

• Manage cost accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Perform variance analysis and monitor production costs
• Support inventory reconciliation and cycle counts
• Assist in maintaining standard costing processes

General Accounting

• Maintain general ledger and perform account reconciliations
• Support audit preparation and documentation
• Assist in maintaining internal controls and financial processes

Process Improvement

• Improve accounting workflows and reporting processes
• Support ERP system usage and optimization
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus
• CPA is a plus

Skills

• Experience with cost accounting and inventory
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
