We’re a small, senior team that values ownership, strong judgment, and close collaboration across analog, digital, and lab disciplines!
This role owns the full physical design flow for a high‑speed interface chip. You’ll take the design from synthesized netlist through GDSII, serving as the primary PD voice on a lean program. Your work will directly shape timing closure, power integrity, and tape‑out quality for next‑generation PHY prototypes.
Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement full‑chip floorplans in collaboration with analog and digital teams
  • Execute place and route, timing closure, and ECOs through final sign‑off
  • Own static timing, power integrity, and physical verification closure
  • Integrate scan and support DFT and ATPG execution
  • Coordinate with foundry and document PD decisions for follow‑on designs
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of physical design experience with at least one full chip tape‑out
  • Hands‑on expertise with Cadence Innovus and Tempus
  • Experience closing DRC, LVS, and ERC using Calibre
  • Proven ability to own PD decisions and drive issues to closure on small teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with mixed‑signal or analog‑adjacent physical design
  • Familiarity with power integrity analysis using Voltus or RedHawk
  • Experience with multi‑voltage designs and UPF or CPF
  • Background leading PD for a chip or major subsystem
