Job DetailsJob Location: Remington Transitional Care of Richardson - Richardson, TX 75082Position Type: Full TimeThe Assistant Rehabilitation Director will, in addition to responsibilities as Therapist or Therapist Assistant, lead the rehab department through serving as contact person, attending required facility meetings, and communicating directly with his/her Rehabilitation Director and Regional Rehabilitation Director. Attend all meetings required by the facility, providing required information such as patient caseload, RUG levels, treatments provided, and any pertinent information regarding the rehab program. Attend weekly regional conference call and provide necessary information. Communicate information from meetings, conference calls, supervisors, etc. to therapy staff as necessary and carry out directives derived from those sources. Organize screenings for all residents in facility on a quarterly basis as well as those identified through triggers to identify those who have experienced declines in their functional abilities and determine if therapy intervention is indicated. Organize labor hours in order to provide adequate staff coverage, reporting any and all overtime, staffing needs, and employee concerns to Regional Director of Rehab. Work with facility team to provide thorough discharge planning that will allow the patient to function at a maximal level of independence in the least restrictive environment. Educate staff, families and caregivers as indicated. Identify needs for program development and implement programs according to company policies and procedures. Identify equipment needs of the therapy department and order equipment according to company policy and procedure. Monitor for completion of all required documentation according to guidelines specified in the documentation manual. Coordinate in-services for facility staff as need is determined to ensure safe and effective carryover of maintenance/restorative programs and overall care of the residents. Provide monthly billing information to the corporate office as required. Actively assist and participate in the enhancement of the lives of our residents through our dedicated approach to patient care and our census-building program. Actively assist and participate in the development and retention of staff through; recruitment, training and nurturing the employees of the nursing home. Qualifications Must have a current and maintain a PTA license in the state of Texas.  Experience in a skilled nursing Rehabilition setting.
