GEICO's Finance Technology organization is seeking a Systems Analyst to join our Workday Financials team. This role offers a rare opportunity to help build new capabilities from the ground up and shape our long‑term direction. You will design, develop, test, and deploy solutions across key Workday Financials modules while contributing to our broader transformation—from a traditional IT environment to a modern engineering‑driven organization rooted in excellence, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
As a Systems Analyst, you will be a vital member of our engineering staff, working cross‑functionally to deliver a seamless customer experience while upholding the highest standards of reliability, security, and data integrity. Success in this role requires expertise across Workday Financials, PRISM, Reporting, and Accounting Center, coupled with a passion for building resilient and scalable systems in a fast‑paced, hyper‑growth environment.
Role Responsibilities
As a Systems Analyst, you will:
Configure and maintain Workday Financials modules
Support Workday business processes and security, including enhancements to existing configurations and development of new solutions
Shape product definitions and use your technical and functional expertise to drive optimal outcomes
Evaluate existing configurations and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners throughout the development lifecycle
Lead design discussions with peers to elevate engineering quality and consistency
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and applications through detailed analysis, documentation, and issue resolution
Translate business and functional requirements into clear technical specifications
Partner with engineering and business teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support Workday Financials solutions
Design and build interfaces, including conducting unit and integration testing
Mentor teammates and foster knowledge‑sharing across the organization
Continuously refine processes and promote best practices within and across teams
Qualifications
You may be an excellent fit if you have:
Experience designing, building, and enhancing Workday Financials solutions, including PRISM lineages and Accounting Center processes within a financial domain
Strong understanding of Web Services, APIs, and EIBs (WSDL, SOAP, REST, and WS standards)
Proficiency configuring and maintaining the Workday Financials Foundation Data Model (FDM)
Knowledge of Workday development tools (EIB, Report Writer, BIRT)
Experience designing and maintaining solutions for complex configurations
Expertise creating advanced calculated fields
Experience developing scalable, resilient, and highly available systems
Functional knowledge across key financial processes: Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Expenses
Understanding of SOX compliance, audit standards, and governance frameworks
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to excel in a fast‑moving environment with shifting priorities
Familiarity with developer tooling across the software development lifecycle (task management, build, deployment, operations)
Ability to prioritize work, operate independently, and ensure timely follow‑up and resolution
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience
4+ years of professional implementation experience in Workday or another ERP, with a focus on Financials
3+ years of experience in system architecture and solution design
​Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Accounting or Finance
Workday Financials and Workday Reporting certifications
Familiarity with HCM–Financials integration points

Annual Salary
$75,000.00 - $215,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
