About the role
Join our team at our state-of-the-art ethanol plant in Richardton, ND, as a Utility Operator! In this vital role, you'll be instrumental in maximizing production efficiency and ensuring the highest quality standards. You'll work within a dynamic environment, contributing to all aspects of plant operations, from process monitoring and maintenance to quality assurance and load-out.
As a Utility Operator, you’ll receive comprehensive training and become a key member of a dedicated crew working 12-hour rotating shifts (3-4 days per week). You’ll also provide essential relief coverage for Process Operators and assist with scheduling needs, all while upholding our company’s policies and objectives.
Who You Are
Operational Excellence:
Monitor and control plant processes using DCS & PLC systems to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective production.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and troubleshoot operational issues in the field.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of plant equipment.
- Assist in grain handling, shipping, and receiving operations.
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in the plant's Quality Assurance program, including sampling and testing process streams.
- Communicate with the QA lab to implement policies and procedures.
- Maintain QA records and interpret results, taking appropriate action as needed.
Maintenance Support:
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and assist maintenance technicians with repairs.
- Help diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance-related issues.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental programs.
- Comply with city, county, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Monitor chemical inventories.
Teamwork and Communication:
- Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure consistent operations.
- Contribute to the development and updates of operating procedures and training manuals.
- Utilize provided computer systems for work orders, and production records.
