About the Role

Industrial Injection is looking for a Cylinder Head Machining Technician to join our Richfield Reman Center. This is a hands-on shop and production role focused on preparing, machining, inspecting, and supporting the remanufacturing of diesel cylinder heads.

This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys mechanical work, takes pride in precision, and wants to build skills in a diesel remanufacturing environment. Prior machining, diesel, automotive, mechanical, or machine shop experience is helpful, but we are also open to dependable candidates with related hands-on experience who are willing to learn.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, machine, inspect, and process diesel cylinder heads for remanufacturing.
  • Use machining equipment, grinding equipment, drill presses, hand tools, air tools, and related shop equipment as trained.
  • Measure and inspect cylinder heads and components using tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, and other precision measuring tools.

  • Follow SOPs, work instructions, production checklists, and quality standards.
  • Keep parts properly identified, organized, and staged for the next step in production.
  • Communicate defects, missing parts, equipment concerns, or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor or department.
  • Work with cleaning, inspection, assembly, engine production, and warehouse teams as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and assigned work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, equipment procedures, and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in machining, machine shop, diesel, automotive, heavy equipment, manufacturing, remanufacturing, mechanical repair, or related hands-on work preferred.
  • Ability to use or learn to use machining equipment, measuring tools, hand tools, air tools, and shop equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality concerns.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, PPE requirements, and supervisor direction.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn cylinder head machining and remanufacturing processes.
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, communication, and work ethic.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on shop and production role. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, lift, move materials, use tools, and work around machining equipment, diesel components, compressed air, oils, fluids, cleaning chemicals, shop noise, and industrial work areas.

The role may require lifting up to 75 pounds and using hoists, carts, pallet jacks, or other assistance for heavier or awkward parts. Required PPE may include safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE required for the task or work area.
