Job Title: Radiological Control Program Support                                                                              

Location:  Work shall be conducted at the Hanford Field Office (HFO) and the Hanford Site in Richland, WA 

Clearance:  Public trust 

Citizenship: US citizen

Position(s): 1 full-time employees (FTE); exempt status

Compensation: $115,000.00 to $165,000.00 - compensation based on years of relevant, work-related experience, educational background, professional background and skills and familiarity with US Department of Energy (DOE) policies, procedures and orders.


AttainX is seeking radiological control program support for our client, DOE, at the Hanford Field Office (HFO). This position supports the Assistant Manager for Safety and Environment (AMSE) and Safety and Health Division (SHD).


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • BS/BA degree in engineering, science or health physics (HP) or physics
  • 9+ years of directly applicable successful experience consulting or contributing on complex projects, including providing strategic, management, technical or business assistance to significant projects or programs in a senior capacity and/or as a consultant
  • Demonstrate familiarity or relevant experience or ability to perform under HFO, Integrated Assessment Process Implementing Procedures and other government agency procedures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES:

  • Working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities
  • Working level knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures
  • Working level knowledge of DOE’s program management practices, policies and procedures
  • Working level knowledge of Hanford’s Radiological Control Program
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn/use other technology management tools employed at Hanford
  • Certified HP, masters or PhD in HP, physics, science or engineering.
  • Excellent communication responsiveness and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office 365
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel

JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform reviews of Radiological Control Programs. 
  • Assess the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP) Project and Tank Farms Project (TFP) contractors’ compliance with federal law and government agency applicable regulations. 
  • Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.
